- At nine years of age, Misel's boyhood friend suddenly and passionately challenged God with his fist raised high as a result of an injustice! Misel knew that he would try to capture this emotional anguish. A life's work.
- Misel's love of Marble was awakened at age 14 during his first summer job working in a marble shop in Greece.

- Misel's love of Marble was awakened at age 14 during his first summer job working in a marble shop in Greece.
- Upon his arrival to Canada in 1967, Misel was fortunate to have friends that nurtured his interests and talents. He is especially grateful to Finnish Canadian Wood Carver Marie Makinen and to Sculptor Warren Smith both of Toronto, Canada.
- As Misel tends to fall in love with his creations, he is reluctant to sell.
However, if someone shares his enthusiasm for a particular sculpture, Misel has been known to sell to a good home.
- Misel lives part-time in TrentHills, Ontario with his wife: Jan Alton and their Jack Russell, Handsome.

Jan's interest in art began at age 5 after “painting” a mural with lipstick on her mother's bedroom wallpaper.
As a teenager, she optimistically took an art aptitude test (Toronto) which she failed.
But it was the beauty of the Yukon that inspired her to keep painting. And, in Newfoundland, it was the craggy shoreline. And then the

More recently, Alton has been working on her abstract landscapes and dreamscapes.
She lives part-time in TrentHills, Ontario with her sculptor husband: Misel and Handsome, the Jack Russell

- As a highly intelligent and motivated canine, I have been "placed" with a challenged couple that require constant surveillance.
- Not only am I responsible for their general safety - but I must provide security in 3 separate residences: one house and two small sailboats and each a work in progress.
- Don't ask about the various art

- Don't ask about the various art projects and the mountain of art paraphernalia - not my department.- I have enough bones to pick.
- As all Jack Russells know - life is the art of ferreting out the details and barking up the wrong tree.
